The chief editor of al-Quds newsletter Mr. Ezedin Mohammed carrier spanned for more than four decades.  He was one of the pioneers in Ethiopian Muslims journalism history and the first ever Islamic orientated news paper to be published after the fall of the Derg regime in.

The news of his death indeed sent a shock wave among the peoples who knows him closely.  He was imprisoned several times by the government but never hesitates or back down from writing on Muslims issues.   Unfortunately Friday after the Isha prayer he complained illness then the family took him to nearby clinic.  But the clinic referred him to Black Line hospital because his condition was beyond their ability to treat him.   Unfortunately he passed way on his arrival at the hospital later pronounced dead by the doctors from what is said to be the cause of his death was blood pressure.

Many personalities attended his funeral service in kolfee sub city Addis Ababa where his body lies down. Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi’ raji’oon: Truely, we are from Allah, and to Him we shall return.  May Allah grant him paradise.  Amal would like to express his deepest condolence to his family and friends.
